Singing with a great choir !

Covid Precautions for Rehearsals

Now that we are able to start meeting to rehearse again we need to adopt a few simple Covid safety precautions, including some recommendations made by the Community Hall

Please follow the following rules to help keep everyone safe:

  1. No choir member should attend rehearsals if they are showing Covid symptoms, if members of their household have Covid, or if they have been contacted by Test & Trace or the NHS app;
  2. Choir members should report if they contract Covid after attending a rehearsal;
  3. Almost all members have been doubly vaccinated, we suggest those who have not, take a lateral flow test before rehearsal;
  4. Cleaning of hall before and after rehearsals will be arranged by the Community Hall;
  5. Ventilation: doors open, roof ventilation open;
  6. Members need to bring their own music, water, pencil, facemask (can be removed when singing). We suggest warm clothes as we will keep the doors open for ventilation as much as possible;
  7. At the Community Hall:
    1. Use hand sanitiser on arrival;
    2. Wear face covering on entry and exit at the hall;
    3. One way system:
      on arrival: in through main entrance, out through corridor; at the end: out through main entrance, in through corridor;
    4. One person responsible for signing the register (for Test & Trace);
    5. Important to come on time, go straight to your seat and remain in that seat during the rehearsal;
    6. Use of toilet: ensure distanced queuing;
  8. Chairs placed well apart (min 1m), staggered;
  9. We will keep a photographic record of where everybody is sitting in case we need to contact you;
  10. Please don't mingle indoors - remain in your seat or go outside for a chat during the break;
  11. Use sanitiser before handling the keyboard and music stand;
  12. There will be no raffle, produce sale, etc for the time being.

Stay safe everyone and we look forward to singing together again.
